Rapper Gangsta Boo, a former member of “Three 6 Mafia,” passes away-Jan 2, 2023

Rapper Gangsta Boo, formerly of the hip-hop crew “Three 6 Mafia,” died.

She was 43.

WREG Memphis and Fox 13 Memphis both covered her demise.

Boo, whose real name was Lola Mitchell, was discovered dead on Sunday afternoon about 4 p.m., according to Fox 13.

According to WREG, a spokesman confirmed Boo’s demise. According to Variety, her death’s cause has not been made public.

Boo started rapping while she was a young adolescent.

Rapper Gangsta Boo was born on August 7, 1979, in the Whitehaven neighbourhood of Memphis,

Tennessee. Boo joined Three 6 Mafia shortly after it was founded in 1991, and she was one of the featured rappers on the group’s 1995 first album, “Mystic Stylez.”

Boo and her boyfriend Emmet Flores had an appearance on WEtv’s “Marriage Boot Camp: The Hip Hop Edition” in 2022.

She collaborated with GloRilla and Latto on the song “Fuck the Club Up” in December; the music video for the song was just made public two weeks ago.

Rappers paid tribute to Boo on social media, and DJ Paul tweeted a picture of her DJing without adding any captions.

Several other rappers responded to the post on Paul’s Instagram, including 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla $ign, Ludacris, Big Boi of Outkast, B-Real of Cypress Hill, and Lil Jon.
