Summer Game Fest 2023: 43 Publishers and Developers Confirmed

Summer Game Fest 2023: The list of 43 partners who will present their games at the forthcoming event has been released by Geoff Keighley, the event’s organiser. Heavy hitters like PlayStation and Xbox are among them; both of them decided not to attend the E3 2023 event, which led to its cancellation. The Summer Game Fest will begin live from the YouTube Theatre in Los Angeles on June 9 at 12:30 am IST in India and June 8 at 12 pm PT in the US. It will be broadcast on all significant livestreaming websites, such as YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and TikTok.

On June 11, Xbox will host a Games Showcase with first views from both its own and outside developers. This will be followed by a Starfield Direct event. The long-delayed naval combat game Skull and Bones may receive upgrades at Ubisoft’s June 12 games showcase, which has a defined date. Disney has been developing on a Black Panther x Captain America team-up game, and CD Projekt Red will have information on the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077.

For those who want to physically visit the Summer Game Fest, tickets are available. Developers can demonstrate their new games and trailers at the event, and special guests might also come on stage. Consumers cannot, however, participate in live games or demo sessions. After the show, there will be a unique invitation-only preview event called PlayDays for the press and influencers.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Keighley created Summer Game Fest in response to the cancellation of significant events due to lockdown procedures. As with E3, the digital-only event allowed publishers—both AAA and indie—to show off their games without having to fork over a significant sum for a physical booth. On June 9 at 12:30 am IST/June 8 at 12 pm PT, the celebration begins.
