Dark Winds Season 2 Trailer Announces the AMC Premiere Date
The Dark Winds Season 2 trailer was released by AMC. On July 30, Graham Roland’s psychological thriller will resume with six brand-new episodes.
Lt. Joe Leaphorn, played by Zahn McClarnon, is seen in the video tackling a challenging case that is tied to a terrible personal tragedy. It depicts the Navajo Nation as being troubled by the arrival of a nefarious man who has killed several Navajos.

The Leaphorn & Chee novel series by Tony Hillerman is the inspiration for Dark Winds. Returning actors Kiowa Gordon as Jim Chee, Elva Guerra as Sally Growing Thunder, Jessica Matten as Sgt. Manuelito, Deanna Allison as Emma Leaphorn, and Kiowa Gordon as Sgt. A Martinez will play Sheriff Gordo Sena in Season 2, as well as Henry Leaphorn as played by Joseph Runningfox, Rosemary Vines as played by Jeri Ryan, and Colton Wolf as played by Nicholas Logan.
According to the synopsis, “this season, Lt. Joe Leaphorn teams up with Jim Chee, his former deputy turned private eye, when their different cases lead them to the same suspect. They are pursuing a killer who has targeted them in the high desert of Navajo Country in order to conceal a secret that exposes ancient scars and calls into question Leaphorn’s moral and ethical standards.
Graham Roland is the series’ creator and executive producer. Along with starring, McClarnon also serves as an executive producer alongside Tina Elmo, Robert Redford, Anne Hillerman, Chris Eyre, George R.R. Martin, and Robert Redford.
